Marjut and Ilkka built the seaside villa of their dreams in Kirkkonummi. Villa Aurinkotervehdys was completed in the summer of 2022 and consists of three modern log buildings.

Marjut and Ilkka built the seaside villa they had dreamed of for a long time in Kirkkonummi. Villa Aurinkotervehdys was completed in the summer of 2022 and consists of three modern log buildings.
"I am most inspired by beautiful materials. Stone, marble and wood in particular are naturally such wonderful materials that it is inspiring to build the decor around them. I find different textures, colors and their combinations fascinating. External inspiration comes from interior design magazines, architecture and travel," says Marjut.
The seaside villa is intended for free time, relaxing with friends and family, and working. Durability, quality, ecology and respect for the surrounding nature were important to the couple during the construction project and when choosing materials.
"The interior is designed materials and quality first. Individual beautiful pieces of furniture can play a big role, but the atmosphere must be cozy. We are not afraid of strong colors or patterns, as long as the whole remains calm. By the sea in the middle of nature, the view from the windows is also an important part of the interior design, and we wanted to leave room for it."

LIGHT BUBBLES
A white "Drop Lähde" spa was chosen for the front of the sauna.
"We ended up choosing the Drop spa because of its domesticity and elegant yet simple design. In addition, because we are in the middle of nature, we wanted a version with lighter bubbles, and Drop had the perfect solution for us."
As the name suggests, (lähde means spring in Finnish) clean water and atmospheric bubbles well forth from the bottom of the pool just like in a natural spring. The model is suitable for bathers who appreciate lighter bubbles. The electrically heated Drop spas are designed for year-round use.
"We can't think of a better way to relax after a long day than getting in to our Drop spa alone or with friends to enjoy a warm bath and this beautiful landscape. It works the same in all seasons. The combination of the Drop spa, sauna, and swimming in the sea is perfect", explains Marjut.
"For us, Villa Aurinkotervehdys means calming down - and the surrounding nature has a decisive effect on that. It is a place where we, our family and our friends just feel good."
